Visit the only wooden whaling vessel left in the world (Charles Morgan) can be seen, boarded and explored at the Mystic Seaport Museum. This special opportunity includes a visit to a Nautical Mystic Village of a hundred years ago.

Boarding and exploring old ships, viewing different art exhibits, blacksmithing, drug store activities, wood barrel construction or just leisurely strolling through New England history as it was one hundred years ago is a treat.

Each year the Mystic Seaport® Museum offers an evening tour called the Lantern Light Tour. You will experience a celebration of a Christmas as it was in a seafaring town of 100 years ago. Feel the sway of the horse drawn wagon, the smell and lights of the ships dockside, a lively musical tavern scene and storytelling. Bereavement

The Floodtide Restaurant in Mystic is the perfect place for a bereavement gathering. The upper dining room can accommodate up to 75 people, while the Lower dining room accommodates up to 35. The dinning rooms can be separated for privacy or combined to seat up to 110 guests. Both rooms offer a wonderful view of the sound. The Lounge & Bar area could be used to accommodate more guests.

For larger gatherings, the Halley Mansion can accommodate from 100-225 guests. Located on the highest point in Mystic, the view is breathtaking, the grounds spectacular, and the mansion itself graciously appointed.

We offer a variety of menus for these occasions. Enclosed are samples of Deli Buffet, Lunch Buffet, and Plated Luncheon menus.

The Floodtide staff's attention to detail and professionalism, combined with warth and caring, will make your gathering a relaxing and stress free event.

We can customize a menu just for you to fit your taste and budget! Just ask.

Bar Options

The Flood Tide has a full bar that can be open, by consumption, or cash bar, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and/or premium brands, however you'd like it set up.
